On to Tralee Then DingleTown

It was a beautiful drive along the Shannon River. Tralee was a surprisingly nice town in County Kerry, about 10 miles from Killarney. We thought this might make a base for us, but, once again, not a realtor to be found. So, onto Dingle Town at the far end of the Shamrock Empire, where we have a few leads. It is still fabulous weather. We tell everyone we meet that we brought the weather from San Diego, and they are ever grateful! Dingle is a very special place. Here is a photo of the 100 year old B&B called The Last Cottage we stayed in right on Dingle Harbor. Tonight we closed 2 pubs and stayed out listening to Irish music till 1:00 a.m!

In the morning we look at a really nice 3-bedroom newer townhouse that would make a great option to rent, but Jeff and I feel it's just too far out to use as a base.

We crash and wake up at 10 am and get a late start Apartment hunting in the ring of Kerry area…. We find a Brand new Furnished apt . way under budget… but it is too far away from the rest of the country to use as a base….. We will try Dingle and the Galway area tomorrow… enclosed are a few shots from the day

12 Hour Layover in London w/ Friends From Wales

Not a bad stop over after playing Luggage Games w/the airlines for 2 hours.... We take the underground to meet up with Two friends We meet sailing in the Carribean 8 years ago... Kieth and Margret had joined us in Ireland for a few days on our first trip to the Island 6 years ago. They have a Flat in London and a stone cottage on the cragley cost of Wales were we visited with them before draging them to Ireland for their 1st time..... (they only live a one hour Ferry boat ride away but had never been....... Of course this is because they are more cultured than Us..... Kieth was on the staff of Oxford but is just a bum like me now... and Margret is an accomplished Artist ....Studio even !

They took us for coffee and even bought lunch... at a swank museum In London . It is always best to hang with the locals... because this museum was very special (most Colonists have never heard of it) It housed the largest collection of Medieval era weapons and armor from around the world..... and 100's of priceless paintings by all the big names...
